In December 2009, Gordon Brown's Immigration Minister, Phil Woolas, provided us with a slightly different statistic in a BBC Radio 4 interview, when he said:
"There are 285 MILLION PEOPLE who visit the United Kingdom every year!"285 MILLION?
As opposed to a mere 30 MILLION? Well, ladies and gentlemen, now you know. Whatever silly number THEY come up with next, the figures being bandied about by those in the know seem to suggest we may already be greatly outnumbered in our own land by the alien.

The PC Crowd had that figured out by 1965 when the first such law was introduced. As regards the eighty per cent who, according to you, 'enjoy being British and living in Britain… because our society is diverse,' I wonder which section of the population you surveyed? Was it the bit located in Brixton, Tottenham, Wormwood Scrubs or the Westminster village, perhaps?

Tony Blair made Amos a life peer in 1997 and, in 2003, he appointed her Secretary of State for International Development. At this time the unelected Guyanan immigrant became the first black woman to sit in the UK Cabinet. Although she left the Cabinet when Gordon Brown became Prime Minister, he nominated her as a European Union Special Representative to the African Union.
Amos, who was Chief Executive of the Equal Opportunities Commission from 1989 to 1994 and Deputy Chair of the Brit-bashing Runnymede Trust from 1990 to 1998, has spent the whole of her working life promoting the cause of immigrants just like herself.
In other words, she's never had a proper job in her life.
